GAZEBO ROOF
A well designed, beautiful gazebo will not only add value to your house, it can also make a great improvement to your lifestyle. A gazebo will provide protection from the elements whilst giving you a wonderful getaway for you to spend your free time in or to use as an entertainment area. There are various styles of gazebos, but generally they are either six or eight sided structures with a roof pitched to the centre point. The gazebo is usually situated slightly away from the house. Often a gazebo will have a built up floor or deck with one or two steps up. Gazebos may also have a balustrade between several of the posts. The type of frame used for a gazebo may vary according to the style. Timber and steel frames are the most popular, although there is something special about a timber gazebo that feels good. Perhaps it's that natural look with the knots and all? The timber frame seems to blend well with the garden and surrounding trees. Aluminium frame gazebos are experiencing a dramatic increase in popularity. In the past an aluminum gazebo would have been an expensive option, but the price of aluminium has remained quiet stable in recent years making it an extremely attractive option. An aluminium framed gazebo looks very similar to a timber frame gazebo, except the beams are powder-coated and have very straight edges. Colorbond roofing material such as the corrugated profile look great on a gazebo, but there are many other materials available.. If you are considering a timber frame gazebo, there is a little bit of effort required for initially painting the timber, however a good paint job will usually last for well over 10 years. Most builders can arrange for the gazebo frame to be painted if required, however most people paint the timber themselves with a roller before the gazebo is built. |
